My Chinese family stayed with us in UK for about 2 weeks, part of their trip was spent in and around London and the rest in our place, in Hull. I really enjoyed having them here, showing them around, introducing different foods, a lot of which they have never tasted before. Everything was so exciting as they have never traveled to Europe before! However, two weeks is a fairly long time and I think that nearing the end of their stay, they were missing their routines back in China, the familiarity that comes with living in the same place their whole lives. I sincerely hope this has not been their last trip over here!
In fact, it's plain difficult to find a job on the other side of the world, without any help, contacts, and not many useful websites in English!I think I will have to resort to going through an employment agency..Not my preferred choice but I can't be choosy. On top of doing my current work, spending hours on trying to find a job in China, taking care of the house AND having to start organizing myself when it comes to moving to the end of the world, I also need to prepare for the arrival of my fiancé's family!Don't get me wrong, they are lovely, there is just so much to do...I'm lucky that my work is very flexible and so I can take time off when I need to(but of course that results in less money). Got to go, help my OT plan trips, accommodation, attractions, etc.Exciting time!
